One-Eyed Jack to make debut at Heritage Days

Hot Air Balloons will be present on Saturday, June 23, 6 to 10 p.m., at Huntington North High School. DJ Dick Smart of Smart Productions will provide musical selections and announce the events. New and making its debut this year will be a balloon shaped like a One-Eyed Jack. The Huntington County Disaster Team will offer a car show beginning at 3 p.m. also on Saturday at HNHS.

Archery Tag, obstacle course and Hover Ball by Christian Life Tabernacle and The Mission International will also be a part of the Hot Air Balloon Festival this year. Both events will run from 5 to 8 p.m., on the west side of Huntington North High School, participants can play Archery Tag on teams of five for $50 per team or $10 per person. The Parkview Huntington Hospital Samaritan Helicopter and other emergency vehicles will also be at the festival. The Balloon Glow will take place Saturday evening at dusk. Spectators are encouraged to bring their children and cameras for a spectacular show of six giant glowing aerostats. Food will be available for purchase from New Hope Church: hot dogs, walking tacos, pretzels, chips, drinks; Rainbow Lanes Junior bowlers: popcorn; St. Peter’s First Community Church: hamburgers, brat burgers and drinks; Huntington County EMA Schwann’s ice cream, fudge bars. Joy Pleaser Clowns will make balloon designs.
