Posted: Friday, October 12, 2012

Northview Inn & Suites, Northview Church of Christ, Walmart and Teachers Credit Union, will be providing a safe Halloween opportunity for children on the north side of Huntington on Sunday, October 28 at all locations.

“Hotel Halloween” will provide decorated rooms for children to trick or treat at from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Trunk or Treat will take place at the Northview Church of Christ, 2900 N. Jefferson Street while Walmart will offer candy handed out in departments throughout the store. TCU will sponsor two pickup trucks and two wagons to shuttle trick or treaters and their parents to and from the Northview Inn, Northview Church of Christ and Walmart.

Interested sponsors are invited to decorate an assigned room, hand out treats to children and clean up the room after the event. The cost to sponsor a room is $35 plus tax.

There will be a contest for the best decorated room, and the winning business will receive a certificate for the use of one of Northview’s whirlpool suites.

The hotel is also accepting donations for a raffle drawing prize give-a-way. Items received will be presented to children throughout the evening.

For more information or to receive a form to participate, contact the Northview Inn & Suites, Amy Stansell, general manager, or Kali at (260) 359-9000. The deadline to sign up to participate is Friday, October 19.
