Nominations sought for Peare and Kay Award

At the sixth annual Parkview Huntington Community Gala set for Saturday, April 29, a local force for enhancing the provision of healthcare will be recognized with a unique award. The community can have an important role in selecting the honoree.
Nominations for the Dr. R.B. Peare and Dr. John B. Kay Award for Excellence in Health Care are being sought from the public, from Parkview Huntington Hospital and Parkview Physicians Group staff members and physicians. Presentation of the award – named for two Huntington physicians instrumental in advancing health services locally, and in establishing the current Parkview Huntington Hospital – will be the evening’s centerpiece.
Past Peare-Kay Award recipients include: 2011, Marilyn Rittenhouse, RN; 2012, Duane Hougendobler, MD; 2013, Mary Wilson, RN; 2014, Ruth Wall, RN and 2016, Anil V. Rao, MD.
The 2017 award will go to recipient(s) who have made significant and lasting contributions to the advancement of healthcare in Huntington County and the surrounding area. The recipient(s) can be an individual, a group of people or an organization whose primary contribution(s), for recognition purposes, must have occurred from 1960 to the present.
To nominate an exceptional individual, group or organization for this award: provide a brief explanation as to the nominee’s achievements, impact, etc. Please limit this supporting information to 100 words or less and submit it in a typed format. Mail or hand-deliver your nomination to the Parkview Huntington Foundation office at Parkview Huntington Hospital, 2001 Stults Road, Huntington, IN 46750, or e-mail it to the foundation director, Mike Perkins at firstname.lastname@example.org. Deadline for nominations is close of business Monday, February 27. A committee of hospital staff and members of the community will consider the nominations and select the recipient.
The Parkview Huntington Community Gala has a new location this year: Chief Richardville Room, Historic Forks of the Wabash, 3011 W. Park Drive. The Peare-Kay Award is the main event of the evening, which will also include gourmet dining, a sparkling atmosphere and a surprise or two. The Gala is organized by the boards of directors of Parkview Huntington Hospital and the Parkview Huntington Foundation.
