Networking Group holds its second meeting

Posted: Friday, May 23, 2014

The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce held the second networking group meeting for Huntington County on Monday, May 19. This group consists of individuals that live and work in the community as well as those that live outside the community, but commute to Huntington to do business locally.

The group of more than twenty-five individuals met at Tipton Place, 460 Forks of the Wabash Way, Huntington. The group discussed its structure, meeting times and generally what the group would like to see itself become in the future.

The group determined that they would like to meet, get to know one another and offer some speed networking to those in attendance. Speed networking is a way of meeting, sharing business cards and talking about your business to other individuals at the respective table and then after fifteen minutes all individuals change to another table to meet new individuals. At times the group will share what is going on at their respective businesses and other times, a guest speaker will be invited.

For more information about this newly-formed networking group, or to join the group, contact the Chamber of Commerce office at (260) 356-5300 or email
