The United Way board of directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Kyle Metzger as the new president and CEO of the United Way of Huntington County. He will officially ‘take the reins’ as CEO on June 12.

Metzger lives in Huntington with his wife, Sharon, who is the executive director of Place of Grace, and their three-year-old son, Oliver. Metzger grew up in Findlay, Ohio and has a BA in Social Work and a MA in Peace Studies from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary. Metzger worked previously at Pathfinder Services, Huntington University and most recently as Ministry Coordinator and Director of Operations at Love INC of Huntington County.

Metzger stated, “I’m beside myself with excitement at the opportunity to lead and serve the Huntington community through the United Way. I believe deeply in the people of Huntington County, and I hope I’m able to do even a small part in making it a better place for those who live and work here!”

Todd Latta, board chair, replied, “The board is excited to work with Kyle and utilize his experience and knowledge of the non-profit sector to continue serving the Huntington County community in the best way possible. The leader of the United Way has a unique opportunity to connect our donors with those that we serve, both relationally and monetarily, and we feel that Kyle has the right combination of competencies, character, and experience to be successful in this effort.”
