The Chamber of Commerce held its third annual seminar on the American’s Disabilities Act (ADA). The seminar was held on Tuesday, March 8 at the Habecker Dining Commons on the campus of Huntington University. The guest speaker was Stephen Metzer, AICP, PWS, who discussed ways in which to keep you and your business compliant with the ADA. His topic was titled “Trying to Avoid ADA Problems in Your Business.” DLZ Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Surveying and Construction Services sponsored the breakfast.

In his presentation, Metzer presented some of the requirements of ADA Title III on private businesses, the most common problems and topics of lawsuits, and some of the most important things to fix to provide at least basic accessibility. The presentation will be emailed to each person that attended the seminar. If you were unable to attend, but would like a copy of the file, please email or call the Chamber office at (260) 356-5300 and we will be sure that you receive a copy.
