Metro Kiwanis serves Boys & Girls Club

The Huntington Metro Kiwanis prepared and served a Thanksgiving meal to the youth of the Boys and Girls Club of Huntington. The meal was served on Monday, November 20 with both children and their families invited to the meal.

The meal consisted of ham, turkey, dressing, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, rolls, brownies, cookies, cupcakes, blueberry, pecan and pumpkin pies. A total of 240 meals were served to the youth of the Boys and Girls Club, their families and the staff.

Last year all Kiwanis clubs raised and spent more than $100 million on community service activities, with special emphasis on meeting the needs of young children around the world. Today, Kiwanis has 8,600 clubs and 315,000 members in 83 countries around the world.
