Metro Kiwanis serves Boys & Girls Club a meal

Huntington Metro Kiwanis prepared and served a Thanksgiving meal to the youth of the Parkview Boys and Girls Club of Huntington County on Friday, November 21. The meal included the students and their families.

The meal consisted of ham, turkey, dressing, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, rolls, brownies, cookies, cupcakes, blueberry, pecan and pumpkin pie. A total of 175 meals were served to the youth of the club, their families and the staff.

Last year Kiwanis clubs raised and spent more than $100 million on community service activities, with special emphasis on meeting the needs of young children around the world. Today Kiwanis number 8,600 clubs and 315,000 members in 83 countries around the world.
