Metro Kiwanis purchases oximeters

Posted: Friday, July 12, 2013

The Huntington Metro Kiwanis has partnered with Emergency Medical Services for Children to provide six digital oximeters for Parkview EMS services. The new digital oximeters are more child friendly and will replace older units that are less efficient.

The oximeters will be placed in all Huntington Parkview Health Systems ambulances with one to be used as a spare. Carla Gebert, EMS manager for Parkview, said the new oximeters will work better for children as children are afraid of all the wires on the older units.

Huntington Metro Kiwanis president-elect Carl Zinsmeister, Rita Dinius, secretary/treasurer and Jim Dinius, past Lieutenant Governor Wabash Valley Division, present Carla Gebert, EMS manager for Parkview Huntington Hospital, with one of six new digital oximeters to be used in Parkview ambulances.
