Metro Kiwanis honors nineteen 'Terrific Kids'

Huntington Metro Kiwanis recognized nineteen fourth-grade students from Andrews, Flint Springs, Huntington Catholic, Lancaster, Lincoln, Northwest, Roanoke and Salamonie schools at their Terrific Kids Night, April 23. Terrific stands for thoughtful, enthusiastic, respectful, responsible, inclusive, friendly, inquisitive and capable.

The students honored were selected by their teachers on the basis of outstanding performance and improvement in grades, homework and citizenship. They were honored with dinner, a certificate and bumper stickers.

The students honored were Kylie Gamlin, Ava Scheiber and Hannah Leonard from Andrews. Also honored were Hunter Bickel, Layla Ambriole and Clara Beeks from Flint Springs. Ava Snyder from Huntington Catholic was honored along with Keegan Brosz and Lucie Smith from Lancaster.

Carson Eckert, Hope Griffey, Alexis Shaw and Caedmon Roth were honored from Lincoln. Vanessa Sturzen and Brooke Hamming from Northwest received honors. Cohen Endsley and Cadence DeCamp from Roanoke along with Hailey Pursifull and Keaton James from Salamonie were all honored.

Also attending were teachers and principals to include Amy Rudolf, Rebecca Carmien, Teresa Johnson and Jamie Stevens from Andrews. Janette Buzzard, Kerri Landrum, Jill Webb and Aimee Lunsford attended from Flint Springs and Jacqueline Thomas from Huntington Catholic.

Holly Perrone and Kayla Whitacre attended from Lancaster and Rebecca Livingston, Nikka Palmer, Lori Kline and Carolyn Smith from Lincoln. Stan Sands and Caitlin Gault attended from Northwest and Kimberly Becker, Kristin May from Roanoke. Jordan Sanders and Bridget Swaidner attended from Salamonie.
