Metro Kiwanis Honors eighteen ‘Terrific Kids’

Huntington Metro Kiwanis recognized eighteen fourth-grade students on Monday, April 29 from Andrews, Flint Springs, Huntington Catholic, Lincoln, Horace Mann, Roanoke and Salamonie schools for their 29th Terrific Kids Night. Terrific stands for thoughtful, enthusiastic, respectful, responsible, inclusive, friendly, inquisitive and capable.

The students honored were selected by their teachers on the basis of outstanding performance and improvement in grades, homework and citizenship. They were honored with dinner, a certificate and bumper stickers.

The students honored were Mark Asher, Cannon Swain and Haley Doyle from Andrews. Also honored were Madi Thinnes, Riley Wilson and Peyton McNally from Flint Springs. Zariah Tinoco from Huntington Catholic was honored along with Cameron Watkins, Danielle Reeves and Bostan Krallman from Horace Mann. Blake Nevil, Layla Wine and Cloe Saulmon were honored from Lincoln. Lily Campbell, Ashton McCoy and Jason Pye from Roanoke received honors. Brandon McDonald and Braylin Browning from Salamonie were also honored.

Teachers attending the event include Teresa Johnson and Jamie Stevens from Andrews; Janette Halsey, Anne Helmich and Jill Webb from Flint Springs and Jacqueline Thomas from Huntington Catholic. Also attending were Rebecca Livingston, Nikka Palmer and Lori Kline from Lincoln; Stan Sands, Jennifer Herrberg and John Fisher from Horace Mann; Kimberly Becker, Kristin May and Caitlin Gault from Roanoke and Leah Street and Kayla Whitacre from Salamonie.
