Mark J. Wiley joins local law firm

Bowers, Brewer, Garrett & Wiley, LLP is pleased to announce that Mark J. Wiley became an associate with the law firm on Monday, October 6, 2014. Wiley earned his bachelor’s degree from Huntington University in 2011 graduating magna cum laude, and he earned his J.D. degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis in May of 2014 graduating cum laude.

Wiley has worked with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office of Assistant Chief Counsel for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the NCAA Enforcement Division, and the IUPUI Athletic Department Compliance Office. During law school, Wiley was involved with the Dean’s Tutorial Society, serving on the Society’s executive board during his third year of law school.

Wiley also competed in the Honorable Robert H. Staton Intramural Moot Court Competition and was named to the Order of the Barristers where he and his partner finished second overall.  Wiley’s areas of practice include estate planning, elder law, family law, criminal defense, real estate, commercial and civil litigation, and personal injury. Wiley resides in Roanoke with his wife, Chelsey. Other members of the firm are David L. Brewer, Robert S. Garrett, Joseph K. Wiley and Davin G. Smith.
