Love In the Name of Christ gains new leadership

Posted: Friday, December 13, 2019

Love In the Name of Christ is gaining new leadership with the promotions of Erin Didion, left, to executive director and Kelley Miller, RN, BSN, to assistant director. In addition to her ministry and volunteer coordinator responsibilities, Didion will develop new funding opportunities and oversee financial operations. Miller will continue to oversee the food pantry operations and Matthew 25 telemedicine clinic, and she will begin supervising the Covered With Love store.

Didion is a 2017 graduate of Huntington University with a major in Not for Profit Leadership. She has served as Love INC’s ministry and volunteer coordinator for the past two and a half years. Miller is a 2009 graduate of the University of Saint Francis, School of Nursing, and has served as the Food Pantry coordinator for Love INC since 2016.

With these new roles, Didion and Miller will continue to positively impact Huntington County by growing the mission of Love INC, expanding the volunteer and donor bases, and strengthening the relationships Love INC has forged with local churches, businesses and neighbors in the community. “We are excited about the leadership of this organization under the direction of Erin and Kelley. These two have worked together for almost three years, and the passion for this organization is shown every day. The board of directors is pleased to promote Erin to executive director and Kelley to assistant director,” said Trent Wolfe, board president.

The mission of Love INC is to mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities in the name of Christ. Love INC has been a part of Huntington County since 1985 and continues to partner with over 40 local churches, serving over 4,300 people every year. Ministries of Love INC include: Community Clearinghouse, which connects people in need to ministries and program throughout Huntington County; Community Food Pantry; Covered with Love Clothing Store; Loads of Love laundry ministry; Supply Closet, which provides household and hygiene items; Pet Food Pantry; Bare Necessities for diapers; telemedicine site for Matthew 25 Health Clinic; Christmas Gift Shop; Back to School program; Loving Neighbors mentoring program; Cooking with Love classes and Faith and Finances 12-week budgeting workshops.
