Library to host a Walking Tour around downtown

Posted: Friday, July 7, 2017

In fitting with this year’s Summer Library Program Theme, “Build a Better World,” the Huntington Library will host a Huntington Walking Tour on Saturday, July 15. Starting shortly after the library closes at 5 p.m., the informative walk will be led by Huntington Alert, and will feature stops that highlight building history throughout downtown and the surrounding residential areas. All ages are invited to attend, with the walk’s content geared for adults. No registration is required; simply meet the other walkers at the library close to closing time.

As part of the Do It Yourself (DIY) at HCTPL series of workshops, the Huntington Library will host a DIY Wood Transfer Photos workshop for adults on Tuesday, July 18 at 6 p.m. Simply bring a 5x7 photo you’d like to use, and participants will transfer that photograph onto a block of wood. All supplies except for the photograph will be provided. Register online at http://hctpl.info/program-reg or call (260) 356-0824. The Huntington Library is located at 255 W. Park Drive.
