Posted: Friday, September 28, 2018

October’s arrival means it is almost time for the Huntington and Markle Libraries’ annual pumpkin decorating contest. Open to all ages as well as teams, the contest’s pumpkin delivery window is October 19 to 23 with judging October 24 and 25.

The contest takes place at both the Huntington and Markle Libraries. Pumpkins will be judged in a variety of categories, including Most Unusual, Funniest and Cutest and by age range, whether it’s done by an individual or group. Everyone is invited to enter. Just remember, the pumpkins must not be carved, only decorated.

The latest operating system for Apple’s iPhones and iPads has been released. The Huntington Library will hold an informational workshop on iOS 12 Monday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. Come to the library and learn about what is new, what has changed, and how you can update. Bringing questions is encouraged as well.

The Huntington Library is located at 255 W. Park Drive, and the Markle Library is located at 155 W. Sparks Street, Markle.
