Library to close early for Heritage Days

Posted: Friday, June 10, 2016

Due to the Heritage Days carnival festivities being relocated to the southern portion of Cherry Street, the Huntington Library will be closing at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 and will remain closed through the rest of the week. The Markle Branch library will be open for regular hours the entire week, as that location will not be impacted by the carnival. The Huntington Library will re-open Monday, June 20 with normal business hours.

Children ages four years and up are invited to the Huntington and Markle libraries for a decorative kite craft. The Huntington Library’s craft will take place Tuesday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m., while the Markle Branch Library’s will be held Thursday, June 23 at 2 p.m.

Teens can play a version of the popular Silent Library game Wednesday, June 29 at 6 p.m. at the Huntington Library. Come with your friends to compete as a team by attempting a variety of tasks. Just don’t get shushed by a librarian in the process.
