Library holds safe summer reading program

Posted: Friday, June 5, 2020

The Huntington City-Township Public Library has modified its Summer Library Program to enable the public to participate safely. The library is currently setting up an app for virtual reading logs, which will allow participants to track their progress at home. The library’s goal is to have the app ready in the first half of June. Traditional paper reading logs will be available also.

The Huntington and Markle library branches re-opened to the public on Monday, June 1. The Andrews-Dallas Township Public Library and Warren Public Library have also re-opened. The Roanoke Public Library is offering curbside pickup of its materials.

The Huntington and Markle summer programs will begin with a Facebook event featuring magician Daniel Lusk viewable from June 8 to 12. To view a listing of all programs, visit the library’s website, www.huntingtonpub.lib.in.us, or Facebook page, www.facebook.com/HCTPL.

To register for the program, contact the Huntington library at (260) 356-0824 or ask@hctpl.info. The library’s Huntington branch is located at 255 W. Park Drive. The Markle branch is located at 155 W. Sparks Street.
