Libraries to offer “Find Your Beat” June 2

The Huntington and Markle Libraries will be filled with music-themed activities this summer as part of the Summer Library Program. Beginning June 2 and running through July 21, the theme for this year’s program is Find Your Beat, and is all about music.

All ages are invited to sign up starting May 14, and starting June 2 everyone can grab a tracking log and get started. A variety of prizes will be available, from tickets to the TinCaps and the Indianapolis Children’s Museum’s Haunted House to an Amazon Echo, and more.

The summer will be filled with music-related concerts and activities. Kicking off the library program on June 5 is Rockin’ Together: A Musical Magic Show featuring Indianapolis-based magician and entertainer Daniel Lusk, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in Huntington. The Erie Jazz Band will give an outdoor concert for all ages after hours on Saturday, June 9 at 6 p.m. at the Huntington Library. On Tuesday, July 10 at 6 p.m. the LaFontaine Arts Council will bring a Taiko Drum performance to the Huntington Library for all ages. There will be many more classes, events and activities in addition to these throughout the summer. Sign up on or after May 14 and join in.
