Posted: Friday, August 11, 2017

Are you looking for a job and would like to spruce up your resume? Come to the Resume Writing Class at the Markle Library Wednesday, August 16 at 6 p.m. Learn how to create the document itself, what to put in it and what to leave out, how to convey experience through words and more. Computers will be provided, though attendees are welcome to bring their own. Registration is requested for supply purposes at http://hctpl.info/program-reg.

Teens are invited to the Huntington Library all day Friday, August 18 to help celebrate Bad Poetry Day. Come and share your painful prose and revolting rhyme by creating the worst poem you possibly can. Poems will be displayed in the teen area.

Adults can learn the basic techniques to creating patterns with household items in the DIY @ HCTPL Hand Printing Basics workshop Tuesday, August 22 at 6 p.m. at the Huntington Library. Combined with fabric paint, participants will use fruit, twine, foam, cardboard and more to decorate cloth. Tea towels will be provided, but participants can also bring their own fabric item to decorate. Registration is required so that enough supplies can be provided. Register at http://hctpl.info/program-reg.

The Huntington Library is located at 255 W. Park Drive and the Markle Branch Library is located at 155 W. Sparks Street, Markle.
