Letter to the Chamber and the community

Posted: Friday, December 22, 2017

Dear Friends,

The Youth Services Bureau of Huntington County is 30 years old and it is time to CELEBRATE! How do you celebrate someone’s birthday? By giving a gift. The Youth Services Bureau’s “$30 for 30 Years” celebration is a perfect opportunity for you to celebrate that for 30 years the Youth Services Bureau has been able to provide education, encouragement and empowerment to youth and their families as they maneuver through the challenges of childhood and adolescence. Programs such as Teen Court, On Your Way Up, suicide prevention, runaway and homeless youth prevention, Safe Place, car seat inspections are just a few of the sixteen programs offered by the agency.

The staff and board realize that this would not have been possible without the tremendous community support given to us for the past 30 years. As we look towards the next 30 years we realize that the agency needs a foundation of support if we are to continue to meet the needs of Huntington County’s youth and families, therefore, we are seeking to increase our endowment with the Huntington County Community Foundation.  Your tax deductible donation to the “$30 for 30” celebration will be placed in our endowment and will continue to provide support for years to come.

We greatly appreciate those who have already given through our “Making a Difference” fund drive earlier this year, as it provides ongoing agency support which allows for program enhancement, new program implementation, general agency support. This request is a special request as we celebrate 30 years. You can make your donation directly to the Huntington County Community Foundation by just putting YSB of Huntington County on the memo or send it to us directly and we will place into our account.

We truly believe it takes each of us working together to enhance the lives of Huntington County’s youth and their families. Thank you in for your continued support.
