Jim Asher, company spokesman for Erie Haven Inc., announces the appointment of Michael Langston as plant manager of the company’s Huntington facility. Langston is a lifelong resident of Huntington County and has been with Erie Haven for 13 years.

“I’m happy to announce that Michael is in this position,” said Asher. “He is involved in the community with 4-H, the Cattlemen’s Association, is a member of the Bippus volunteer fire department, and with his experience at Erie Haven he is well-prepared for the position.”

Langston said he is happy to be named to the position and is looking forward to working with the public and growing the business in Huntington and the surrounding areas. Langston is a 1986 graduate of Huntington North High School. He is married to Amy and they have three children, Collin, 16; Rhitt, 11; and Cole, 3.

Erie Haven is a producer and supplier of concrete and a full line distributor of tools and chemicals related to the concrete construction industry, including concrete color and decorative products. The company carries an extensive inventory of corrugated plastic and metal pipe for construction and agricultural projects. Supplies to fix and maintain concrete, stamped concrete products, artcrete concrete products, and concrete stained products are also available.

The company’s supplies cover just about any project from small to large. Asher explained, “We carry any concrete product that a homeowner could need up to the supplies that the largest construction firm requires.”

Erie Haven has been in business since 1962 and in addition to the Huntington location has two facilities in Fort Wayne, one in New Haven, Decatur, Auburn, Columbia City, Bluffton, and soon Angola. The Huntington plant is a three person shop with two drivers and it has continued to grow since its beginning. According to Asher, in the year the facility has been open, it has become the most productive satellite location.

Asher stated, “Erie Haven’s goals include producing a top quality product, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction.” He continued, “We do whatever it takes to get the job done.”

Langston agreed, “We will do whatever it takes to meet our customers’ needs.” Asher and Langston both commented, “It if takes all night, we will work all night to complete a job.”
