Lake City promotes shop local

Posted: Thursday, November 11, 2010

Lake City Bank in partnership with Federated Media Broadcasting stations has launched a campaign designed to educate local consumers about the importance of supporting locally-owned businesses in their communities. Over 2,000 radio announcements have aired on WOWO and K105 encouraging listeners to Think Local First the next time they make a purchase.

The Be Smart/Think Local First program is featuring a Locals-Only Holiday Shopping guide for area consumers to get an idea of the vast offerings of unique gifts available at local businesses around the area. Businesses are offered the opportunity to be promoted for free courtesy of Lake City Bank. This online feature will be promoted through the holiday shopping season on WOWO and K105. Consumers participating in the shopping opportunity will be given the chance to win a $250 gift card.

To be included in this opportunity, visit www.SmartLocalFirst.com or contact Paula Whiting, assistant vice president and Huntington office manager of Lake City Bank, 356-5404.  If your business would like to take advantage of this free Holiday Shopping opportunity, a form can be printed from the Chamber’s website at http://huntingtoncountychamber.com/events/2010/12/01/free-holiday-shopping-promotion.html
