LaFontaine Arts Council begins plan for JeFFFest

Posted: Friday, May 10, 2019

The LaFontaine Arts Council and Four Corners Custom Framing, sponsors of JeFFFest, have begun plans for the annual event. This year’s event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 23 in downtown Huntington from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The family-friendly community event gets its name from Jefferson Street, where the festivities take place, along with the Fabulous Music, Fun, Food and Fine Art are available at the event.

The art portion of JeFFFest offers local and area artists of all ages the opportunity to create art work on a five-inch by seven-inch canvas. These official JeFFFest canvases are now available for purchase only at Four Corners Custom Framing, 419 N. Jefferson Street in Huntington, during business hours Tuesday through Saturday.

The completed canvases are to be returned to the frame shop by June 15, at which time they become property of the LaFontaine Arts Council. They will be professionally framed and displayed for the silent art auction at the frame shop beginning June 20 and ending the night of JeFFFest. Artists may purchase more than one canvas, and any medium can be used on the canvas. Submissions must be dry and ready for framing when they are turned in. All proceeds from JeFFFest go toward the LaFontaine Arts Council’s in Education programming.

For further information about JeFFFest, contact LAC executive director Debbie Dyer at (260) 358-0055 or frame shop owner Paula Bittner at (260) 355-0650. Information is also available on both the LaFontaine Arts Council and JeFFFest Facebook pages.
