LAF announces JeFFFest food vendors

Posted: Friday, June 12, 2015

The LaFontaine Arts Council is finalizing plans for this year’s JeFFFest. Artists have begun returning their 5”x7’ canvases to Four Corners Custom Framing. Eric Clancy Jazz will be back to provide the music. The food vendors have decided which items they will offer for the family-friendly community event from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 21 in downtown Huntington.

No admission is charged for the event itself. Tickets in one-dollar increments will be sold at the Jefferson/Washington Street and Jefferson/Market Street intersections the evening of JeFFFest. These tickets can then be exchanged for food items, with most drinks requiring one or two tickets and food items needing two to four tickets.

The complete list of local food vendors and their offerings is as follows: JD’s will offer homemade ham salad on a croissant or homemade chicken salad on a croissant, each one served with either potato salad or macaroni salad; The Rusty Dog Irish Pub, shrimp pasta salad, bangers and mash, bacon cole slaw; The Party Shop, homemade turtles; Kim's Katered Affair, plain or crème-filled cupcakes; The Berg Ale Haus, brat balls, sugar cream pie, potato salad, schnitzel bites; Vinatelli's, Vinatelli salad, super slice pizza, breadsticks; Hoosier Drive-In, mini tenderloins, baked beans; Hanger 59, dirty potato chips, walking tacos, Oreo churros, Eisenburg hot dogs; Moose and Mollie’s, gelato; The Brick House Grill, crab cakes, stuffed baby bellas; Serendipity Sweets, angel food cake with strawberries, assorted cookies; Four Cups, herbal iced tea, cold-brewed old fashion coffee and LaFontaine Art Council, bottled water, soft drinks.

Tables and chairs will be set up on Jefferson Street to accommodate the crowd, but people are encouraged to bring their own seating as well. Eric Clancy Jazz with vocalist Shannon Persinger will begin playing at 6 p.m. The silent art auction begins at the frame shop on Thursday, June 18 and will conclude at 8 p.m. the evening of JeFFFest. All proceeds from JeFFFest go toward the LaFontaine Arts Council’s “Arts in Education” programming.
