Posted: Friday, June 13, 2014

The LaFontaine Arts Council is ready for JeFFFest. The fine art, created by area artists, is on display and ready for silent auction at Four Corners Custom Framing. Eric Clancy will be back to provide the fab music. The food vendors have decided on the wares they will offer.

JeFFFest, a community event for all ages, will be held Sunday, June 22 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in downtown Huntington. No admission is charged for the event itself. Tickets in one-dollar increments will be sold at Jefferson and Washington Streets and Jefferson and Market Streets intersections the evening of JeFFFest. These tickets can then be exchanged for food items, with most drinks requiring one or two tickets and food items needing two to four tickets.

The complete list of food vendors and their offerings includes the following: Rusty Dog Irish Pub, bangers and mash, shrimp pasta salad and bacon cole slaw; Vinatelli’s Italian Café, giant slice pizza, Vinatelli’s salad, slice of cheesecake, 3 breadsticks with cheese sauce; Brick House Grill, crab cakes, stuffed figs, caramel salted ice cream with crisps; Four Cups, cold brewed and hot coffee; Kim’s Katered Affair, cupcakes, crème-filled cupcakes; Hoosier Drive-In, mini tenderloins, baked beans; JD’s, pulled pork sandwich, chopped beef brisket sandwich - each with a side of potato salad or macaroni salad; The Party Shop, milk chocolate turtles; Moose & Mollie’s, gelato and Serendipity Sweets, angel food cake with berries and assorted cookies; LaFontaine Arts Council, bottled water and bottled soft drinks.

Tables and chairs will be set up on Jefferson Street to accommodate the crowd, but people are encouraged to bring their own seating as well. Eric Clancy Jazz with vocalist Shannon Persinger will begin playing at 6 p.m. The silent art auction begins at the frame shop on June 19 and will conclude at 8 p.m. the evening of JeFFFest.

All proceeds from JeFFFest go toward the LaFontaine Arts Council’s “Arts in Education” programming.
