Kubacki named Business Leader of the Year

Lake City Bank executive chairman Mike Kubacki was named Business Leader of the Year by the Indiana Chamber at its 25th Annual Awards Dinner in Indianapolis. Lake City Bank is the single bank subsidiary of Lakeland Financial Corporation (Nasdaq Global Select/LKFN).

Kubacki was Lake City Bank’s chairman, president and chief executive officer from 1999 to 2014. Under his leadership, the bank’s assets grew from $800 million to $3.2 billion, and the bank significantly expanded the markets it serves to include offices in the South Bend, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis markets.

Kubacki joined the company after a 25-year career with The Northern Trust Company, serving in its Chicago and Los Angeles offices. He is a native of Pierceton, Indiana, and received his bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana University and master’s in Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
