Kids Kampus taking applications for preschool

Pathfinder Kids Kampus is now accepting applications for free preschool openings thanks to the receipt of an Early Education Matching Grant received through the Indiana Family & Social Services Administration.

The preschool program at Pathfinder Kids Kampus focuses on kindergarten readiness through language activities, problem solving, creative play and fine and large motor skill activities. Additional activities include story times, fine arts and music. The preschool operates from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, begins Friday, August 12 and runs through the entire 2016-2017 school year.

To qualify, the child must be four years old by August 1, and must meet income eligibility requirements. Children from Huntington and surrounding counties may apply. Pathfinder Kids Kampus follows the Foundations to the Indiana Academic Standards for young children from birth to age five.

Pathfinder Kids Kampus is also accepting enrollment for fall programs including: Fall Itty Bitty Preschool, a program designed for children age three. Class takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will begin on Monday, August 1. Itty Bitty Preschool is $42 per week. Fall Premier Pre-K Preschool is a program designed for children ages four and five. Class takes place Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will begin on Monday, August 1. Premier Pre-K Preschool is $54 per week.

Pathfinder Kids Kampus, Huntington, offers Early Head Start programming for children up to three and expectant mothers, along with child care for children from six weeks to age 12 and preschool. Pathfinder Kids Kampus is a Level 3 Paths to QUALITY Provider and is the only licensed child care center in Huntington County.
