Posted: Friday, March 3, 2017

Turkey Trot Host, Main and Lead Sponsors presented $28,400 to Pathfinder Kids Kampus administrator Jodie Clark on February 28. The 2016 proceeds set another record for the Thanksgiving Day event. The event saw 1,015 individuals participate in the 5k and one-mile fun walk.

“The Turkey Trot is a great community event to kick off Thanksgiving Day. We’re grateful for the continued support of our sponsors and the participants and volunteers who make the Turkey Trot possible,” Clark said.  “This fun family event raises much needed funds for the children and families served by Pathfinder Kids Kampus."

Clark, with the help of John Niederman, president of Pathfinder Services, along with several Pathfinder Kids Kampus youth received the proceeds check from Host Sponsor, Britt Sather of McDonald’s, Main Sponsor Dr. Matt and Dr. Janelle Pflieger of Cardinal Family Medicine and Lead Sponsor, Becky Scheiber of PNC Bank.

McDonald’s, as host sponsor, donated the long-sleeved technical shirts, breakfast to participants, cash prizes to winners, as well as opened the Huntington facility and provided staffing for the event. Additional sponsors included Main Sponsor, Cardinal Family Medicine, Lead Sponsor, PNC Bank, Registration Sponsor Parkview Huntington Hospital and additional sponsors David Culp & Co., Indiana Physical Therapy, PHD, Novae, Fort Wayne Metals and 3 Rivers Running Company. The participant cinch bags were sponsored by Parkview Huntington Family YMCA, DHI Roofing, MetroNet, Art’s Country Park and Novae Corporation.

The 13th Annual Pathfinder Kids Kampus Turkey Trot is set to take place on Thanksgiving Day, November 23 and registration is open at www.kidskampus.org.
