Kids Kampus receives $23,500 from Turkey Trot

Turkey Trot host and lead sponsors presented $23,700 to Pathfinder Kids Kampus Administrator Jodie Clark on Monday, February 1. The 2015 donations and participation set a record for the Thanksgiving Day event. 1,017 individuals participated in the 5K and one-mile fun walk.

“The Turkey Trot has become the community event on Thanksgiving Day. We’re grateful for the continued support of our sponsors and the participants and volunteers who choose to spend their morning with us,” Clark said. “This event continues to be a fun family event thanks to the efforts of everyone involved. The funds which were raised will benefit the children and families who participate in Pathfinder Kids Kampus’ programs.”

Clark, with the help of John Niederman, president of Pathfinder Services, Loretta Mottram, senior director of business development as well as several Pathfinder Kids Kampus youth received the proceeds check from host sponsor, Britt Sather of McDonald’s, and lead sponsor, Becky Scheiber of PNC Bank.

McDonald’s, as host sponsor, donated the long-sleeve technical shirts, breakfast to participant’s cash, and water bottle prizes to winners, as well as opened the Huntington facility and provided staffing for the event.  Additional sponsors included lead sponsor, PNC Bank, registration sponsor, Parkview Huntington Hospital, supporting sponsors David Culp & Co., Indiana Physical Therapy, PHD, and 3 Rivers Running Company as well as participant cinch bag sponsors, 3G Concepts, DHI Roofing, Huntington University, Imagine Real Estate, McDonald’s of Huntington, MetroNet, and Novae.
