Kids Kampus granted 15 additional seats

Posted: Friday, August 24, 2018

Pathfinder Kids Kampus is happy to announce 15 additional openings for the On My Way Pre-K program that allows the early education facility to provide free preschool and child care to four year old children. Pathfinder Kids Kampus is now accepting applications for the additional openings for the 2018-19 school year.

On My Way Pre-K is a free program for families who qualify and this high-quality preschool and child care option is an essential component to the success of our community. High quality early childhood education provides opportunities for children to build their language skills, social and emotional skills, math concept awareness, and more, building a foundation for lifelong learning and success.

“Our On My Way Pre-K program is off to a great start and we are happy to be taking applications for 15 additional openings,” stated Elizabeth Hire, interim administrator and Early Head Start director at Pathfinder Kids Kampus. “Last year, we were able to offer free preschool to ten children. The state has recognized a need for this service in our community and this school year we have the capability to provide free preschool and child care to 35 children.”

To qualify for the free On My Way Pre-K preschool, children must have turned four by August 1, and must meet income eligibility and service need requirements. Children from Huntington and surrounding counties may apply. Premier Preschool is also available for children three to five years of age and tuition assistance may be available. Both On My Way Pre-K and Premier Preschool classrooms started August 8 and run through the 2018-2019 school year.

Pathfinder Kids Kampus is also enrolling three to five year olds for Premier Preschool. Two day, three day and five day options are available. For more information, please contact Pathfinder Kids Kampus at (260) 356-0123 or email ehire@pathfinderservices.org.
