Posted: Friday, April 23, 2021

The Junk Yard Band, a Northeast Indiana Oldies Rock quintet known for performing music from the ’50s, ’60 and ’70s, return to Roanoke’s Cottage Event Center on Friday, May 14 for the Roanoke Lions Club. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m., and will feature the Lions Club on site grilling and selling burgers.

The group began playing over forty years ago, rehearsing next to a salvage yard, which led to the band’s name. They have performed at the Fort Wayne Bicentennial, Three Rivers Festival, James Dean Festival, and numerous area festivals, fairs and car shows. The lineup is Rick Brown, keyboards, sax, vocals; Don Miles, drums and vocals; Dale Pequignot, lead vocals; Mike Hockaday, bass and vocals and Guy Platter, guitar and vocals.

Tickets cost $12 and are on sale at John’s Meat Market in Roanoke, by calling (260) 483-3508 or online at cottageeventcenter.com. A cash bar will be available as well as the burgers and other food provided by the Lions Club.
