Juillerat joins EPCO Accounting & Tax Services

Posted: Friday, March 5, 2021

A new staff accountant has been added to EPCO Accounting & Tax Services, 2819 Walmart Drive, Suite D. Valerie Juillerat has joined their team.

Juillerat has extensive experience in business and is a Huntington University graduate. After graduation, Juillerat opened The Art Palette art supply store and worked for Coaches Connection. An additional location was opened in Marion. Juillerat then took a position at El Shaddai, Inc. and eventually purchased the business in 2017. In 2018, El Shaddai, Inc. and The Cause Printing merged to become Cause Printing Network, Inc.

Due to the pandemic, Juillerat’s business began struggling and she worked to find a way to save it. Juillerat then met with EPCO owner Timothy Armstrong, who was her accountant, and he asked her to help him with the busy tax season in the spring of 2020. After several weeks, Armstrong asked Juillerat if she wanted to get her tax preparation license and join his team at EPCO.

Juillerat said that she likes helping others with their finances and businesses. She has done a lot of mentoring over the years, so this just gave her another outlet for that passion. “I saved my business, survived COVID and stayed positive by doing business in a new way.”

Juillerat officially started at EPCO on February 1. Now Juillerat is able to work for EPCO and also manage her business, Cause Printing Network from that one location. She has been in the business world for over 30 years.

EPCO was founded in Fort Wayne by Robert Epple in 1975. They offer a wide variety of services including but not limited to personal and business tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, business property taxes and business startup services. Armstrong, who now owns both the Fort Wayne and Huntington locations, has worked for EPCO for 20 years. He opened the branch in Huntington five years ago.

The Huntington office includes Armstrong, Juillerat and staff accountant, Ryan Bonbrake. After hopefully completing office renovations in mid-summer, Armstrong would like to add more employees to their team. They are open year around.

EPCO Accounting & Tax Services can be reached at (260) 200-1013. The business is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
