Posted: Thursday, May 30, 2013

Registration for the Youth Services Bureau’s MAD (Making A Difference) camp is currently underway. This year’s theme is “Back to Nature.”

The campers will learn exciting information about nature, how they can help preserve our environment and more. “More importantly the campers will realize they are a vital part of the big picture with responsibilities to themselves and others,” said Karen Street, camp coordinator. There will be crafts, group activities, snacks, games and projects daily. The camp runs Monday through Friday 9 a.m. until 12 noon. The week of June 17 to June 21 is for the children who have completed K-3 grades. The week of June 24 to 28 will be for children who have completed 4th-7th grades. There is no fee for this camp but space is limited to the first 20 campers per age group.

For more information about the camp or other programs offered by the agency contact the office at (260) 356-9681 or stop by the office at 1344 Maple Drive to fill out a registration. The office hours are Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to noon.
