JJ’s, Knights of Columbus to offer seminar

Posted: Friday, July 28, 2017

JJ’s (formerly known as Johnson Junction) and the Knights of Columbus have partnered up to offer Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University classes. JJ’s offers the class to our employees as a benefit and to the public as a community service. Several other employers in Huntington also send their employees.

Classes will be held on Sunday evening’s beginning September 10 at 6 p.m. Classes meet one night a week and will take place at the Knights of Columbus “1014 Club” located on Theater Avenue in Huntington, and all members of the public are welcome.

Financial Peace University is a nine week personal money management class held across the country. The class is taught by Dave Ramsey on DVD, followed by engaging workshop activities and discussions. Groups will learn, laugh, and maybe even cry a little as they work together to beat debt and build wealth.

Over three million families have enrolled in Financial Peace University. The average family completing the program pays off $5,300 in debt and saves $2,700 in the first 90 days. The course will teach those enrolled how to: determine what types of insurance are needed, understanding 403b’s, Roth IRA’s, stocks and bonds and other retirement investments, save for an emergency, get out of debt and stay out of debt, control money instead of money controlling you, start a college fund for your children, give generously to others, and much more.

Interested participants may come to the first class at no charge. For those who decide to enroll for the remainder of the classes, the cost is $89. For questions, more information, or to register visit fpu.com/1042015.
