JeFFFest music: a crowd pleaser, June 18

Posted: Friday, June 2, 2017

Edward Jones financial advisers Scott Atkinson, Jim Ditzler, Chuck Harris, Nicole Johnson, Trent McBride, Jim Scheiber and Jim Warner will once again sponsor Eric Clancy Jazz for JeFFFest. Clancy has performed at all but the first JeFFFest in 2008. Vocalist Shannon Persinger will join the group to perform for the crowd’s listening and even dancing enjoyment.

The family-friendly festival will be held on Sunday, June 18 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Jefferson Street in downtown Huntington. Co-sponsored by the LaFontaine Arts Council and Four Corners Custom Framing, the event features fun food, fine art and fabulous music.

The fine art for the event comes from local and area artists who create a unique piece of artwork on 5” X 7” canvases currently available at the frame shop. Local food vendors are supplying taste-size portions for purchase. Tables and limited chairs will be set up on Jefferson Street to accommodate the crowd, but people are encouraged to bring their own seating to be assured of having a place to sit.

All proceeds from the event go toward the LAC’s “Arts in Education” programming. Further information is available from LAC executive director Debbie Dyer at (260) 358-0055 or Paula Bittner, owner of Four Corners Custom Framing, at (260) 355-0650. Both JeFFFest and the LaFontaine Arts Council have Facebook pages with photos and additional information.
