JCPenney has new look, signage and pricing

JCPenney stores have a new look, signage and new pricing. In line with the change in the way JCPenney does business, the JCPenney store in Huntington Plaza Shopping Center has been completely reset and offers the new Everyday, Month-long Value and Best pricing.

According to a JCPenney leadership team board of directors’ annual report, over 110 years ago, James Cash Penney founded his company on the principle of treating customers the way he wanted to be treated himself: fair and square. Today, rooted in its rich heritage, J.C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE: JCP) is re-imagining every aspect of its business in order to reclaim its birthright and become America’s favorite store. The company is transforming the way it does business and remaking the customer experience across its 1,100 JCPenney stores and on On every visit, customers will discover straightforward Fair and Square Pricing, month-long promotions that are in sync with the rhythm of their lives, exceptionally curated merchandise, artful presentation and unmatched customer service.

The new pricing, apparent in Huntington and other JCPenney stores, is in three levels. There are Everyday Prices which are JCPenney’s everyday low regular prices, Month-long Values for even better prices on that month’s featured merchandise, and the Best Price. The Best Prices are introduced on the first and third Friday of each month on selected items while quantities last. The price tags on the merchandise indicate the price and are colored according to their category, and no coupons are ever needed.

Betty Sands, store manager, JCPenney Huntington, said, “The new pricing makes it easier for the customer, they don’t have to worry about coupons, and it is more convenient as they can come in anytime in the month and receive the sale prices.” She continued, “Each month has new signage and a new color, and the sale is from the first to the end of the month. Our store has the same look as bigger stores, and the good quality of the merchandise is the same as it has always been.”

A book is mailed out at the beginning of each month from the JCPenney corporate office to its customers featuring that month’s special merchandise.
