Jackson Square Apartments to open in Roanoke

Posted: Thursday, November 11, 2010

Jackson Square Apartments, a two-story 35-unit complex, will open in Roanoke in December. The apartments are owned and managed by Keller Development in Fort Wayne and are designed for tenants 55 and older.

Northeast Indiana Housing Partnership, a division of Region III-A Economic Development, designed the $4 million project, which was funded through Rental Home Tax Credits and Section 1602, part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment act. Additionally, Keller Development and the town of Roanoke each committed $17,500 to the project to meet required matching funds.

The apartment complex is accessed from Vine Street and interested tenants should apply at the apartment complex once it opens. Rents will depend on income, but are not subsidized. An open house complete with tours will be held at Jackson Square on Thursday, December 16 for the public.
