JA program support by Beacon Credit Union

Posted: Friday, March 6, 2015

Junior Achievement of Huntington County has been awarded a $1,000 check from Beacon Credit Union to support a portion of the JA Economics program at Huntington North High School.

Approximately 270 students in Kyle Daugherty’s economics classes will participate in a seven-activity program called JA Economics. The program shares the fundamental concepts of micro-, macro- and international economics with students. Students develop their economic thinking and knowledge using an interactive textbook and a coordinating study guide as they examine the structure and values of the U.S. economic system and explore business operations. They also study the emerging global economy and gain the knowledge and skills they need to function as competent citizens.
