iAB partners with organizations in community

Posted: Friday, October 18, 2013

The employees of iAB Financial Bank partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Allen County and the Indiana Dream Center in Huntington County to participate in iCare Day on Monday, October 14. iCare Day was created strategically to commemorate the first anniversary of iAB Financial Bank – the leader in community banking in Northeast Indiana.

This day allowed iAB employees the opportunity to demonstrate the overall commitment of iAB to local communities by spending a regular work day with co-workers assisting non-profit organizations for the betterment of the neighborhoods in which they live. The offices of the bank were closed to commemorate Columbus Day; however, the employees of iAB spent the day volunteering at various home, building and outdoor sites in both Allen and Huntington counties. They completed projects such as landscaping, painting, cleaning, weatherization and even deck repairs. The efforts are part of the bank’s partnership in making a difference in the lives of the residents in local communities.

“I’m incredibly proud of our iAB’s team who has dedicated their time on iCare Day to help others in our local communities,” said Mike Marhenke, iAB president and CEO. “With a work force of 285 employees, it’s this power of partnership that helps to provide a better place for us all to work and live. That’s the foundation of community banking.”
