iAB Financial Bank awards scholarships

iAB Financial Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Independent Alliance Banks, Inc., and the Fort Wayne Community Foundation are pleased to announce the four recipients of the iAB Financial Bank Employee Scholarship award. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and personal qualities such as character, leadership ability and community service. Since partnering with the Fort Wayne Community Foundation in 2003, iAB has awarded over $140,600 in scholarship monies to 137 local students as they pursue educational excellence.

The 2017 recipients are: Alyssa Garver - Garver is a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Saint Francis, Fort Wayne. Garver is the daughter of Greg and Dana Garver of Harlan, Indiana. Amy Roth - Roth is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in both Elementary Education and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana. Rothy is the daughter of Kevin and Lorraine Roth of Grabill, Indiana. Logan Sagstetter - Sagsetter will be a freshman this fall, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Physical Therapy/Exercise Science from Trine University in Angola, Indiana. Sagsetter is the daughter of Deb Bishop of Grabill, Indiana. Trevor Szelis - Szelis will be a freshman this fall at Trine University in Angola and will be pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. Szelis is the son of Trent and Amy Szelis, Huntington, Indiana.
