Huntington fireworks to be held July 4 at dusk

Posted: Thursday, July 2, 2020

The Independence Day fireworks show will be held in Huntington on July 4 at dusk. The fireworks will be launched from the Huntington North High School campus.

The American Legion Post 7 has received the necessary training to put on the fireworks demonstration, which is visible from a number of locations across the Huntington area.

Public health officials urge residents to follow social distancing guidelines, from wherever they choose to watch the fireworks.

This guidelines includes: do not host or attend gatherings of large groups; do not share food or beverage items; stay at least six feet from other people with whom you are not in regular contact; wear a mask that covers your face and nose if you are in any public place around others; and stay home if you are ill or at a higher risk of COVID-19 complications.

City officials encourage all residents to heed advice of public health officials while enjoying this year’s Fourth of July celebrations.
