The LaFontaine Arts Council is proud to announce the Artists of the Month for May, 2015. Nominated by their teachers in the areas of band, choir and visual arts, the following students from Huntington Catholic School are recognized for their outstanding achievement in those areas.

Olivia Jablonski, daughter of Michael and Melanie Jablonski, was nominated by band instructor Doug McElhaney for her outstanding performance in band at Huntington Catholic School. “Olivia is a section leader and role model,” said McElhaney.

Savannah Albertson, the daughter of Tiffany and Tim Albertson was nominated in the area of general music by music teacher Joan Gardner. Gardner said “Savannah has been a leader in music class throughout her years at Huntington Catholic. She often sings in the choir for school masses and has been a part of the Diocese-wide Pueri Cantores Choir all three years. She is always willing to answer questions in class and participate in class discussions.”

Madeline Dunn, daughter of Matthew and Sarah Blahm of Bluffton, was nominated by her art teacher Jan Tharp. “Madeline was chosen not only for her talent but also her enthusiasm and as a role model for her class. She is willing to help others and has a great attitude and work ethic. She is a student with wonderful creativity and dedication,” said Tharp.

September through May, the LaFontaine Arts Council recognizes students in middle and high school who excel in achievement in those areas of fine arts.
