The Huntington Bicycle Shop now open

Posted: Friday, October 30, 2020

In the lower level of Huntington’s newest retail store, Whimzy, The Huntington Bicycle Shop, is located at 45 Etna Avenue, Suite (Sweet) 100. Owned by Brooks Fetters and staffed by Nick Hancock, Zen Hess and Jim Lewis, the team says “Anyone can buy a Bike, they want you to become a Cyclist.”

A grand opening celebration beginning with a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting was held at the shop Saturday, October 24. The staff services and repairs all bicycles and they want you to bring them “your tired, your poor, your messed up” bicycles. They provide vintage bicycle rehabs and can make your vintage bicycle “beautiful again.”

The shop will carry new bicycles through Sun Bicycles, Miami, Florida beginning around April 2021. The price will range from $250 to $2,500. The sale of new bicycles has been delayed due to manufacturing delays with COVID. Rental bicycles are available.

The Huntington Bicycle Shop is open Tuesdays, 4 to 7 p.m.; Thursdays, 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays, 12 to 6 p.m. (March through November). Arrangements can be made for the drop-off of bicycles at other times by appointment. The shop phone number is (260) 224-0232.
