HR Professional Group hears from Dr. Ruhrold

The HR Professional Development Group held its monthly meeting at Victory Noll Center on Friday, May 9. The guest speaker for the day was Dr. Richard Ruhrold of the Bowen Center.

Dr. Ruhrold spoke to the group about “Psychological Trauma: What is it? How it affects people, and how to respond to this disorder in the workplace.” Dr. Ruhrold also spoke to the group about PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

Dr. Richard E. Ruhrold is a senior vice president at the Bowen Center and the clinical director and chief psychologist. Dr. Ruhrold earned his PhD. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has been a licensed psychologist in the State of Indiana since 1987 and is endorsed as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP). Dr. Ruhrold is a board certified fellow in clinical hypnotherapy. His primary duties at the Bowen Center are supervisory and administrative. For over 30 years, Dr. Ruhrold continues to provide evaluation and care planning services for adults, children and youth with complex developmental and behavioral disorders.

The HR Professional Development Group covers a variety of topics and is also a great way to build relationships in the community. The meetings are free and there is a $10 fee for lunch.
