Honeywell Center to host Jars of Clay on October 10

Posted: Wednesday, September 22, 2010

WABASH, Ind. – Contemporary Christian hits will fill the Honeywell Center’s Ford Theater on Sun., Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. when WBCL welcomes Jars of Clay and Brandon Heath, sponsored by The Potter’s House of Marion.

Jars of Clay formed back in the early 1990s in Greenville, Illinois.  Forming a band wasn’t exactly a career choice at the time but the need for music and recording class material changed all of that.  After winning a Gospel Music Association talent contest in 1994 and releasing their successful single “Frail”, they released their self-titled debut album in 1995, and haven’t looked back.  Since then they have won three Grammy Awards, sold more than six million albums, and produced hits like “Flood,” “Unforgetful You,” and “Liquid.”

Brandon Heath is a contemporary Christian musician from Nashville, and is best know for his number one hits “I’m Not Who I Was” and “Give Me Your Eyes.”  He has also been nominated four times at the Dove Awards in 2008, and won in the “New Artist of the Year” category.  His second album What If We was nominated for “Gospel Album of the Year” at the 51st Grammy Awards of 2009.

Tickets are $12, $18, $25, and $50, and may be purchased at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling (260) 563-1102, visiting www.honeywellcenter.org.

The Honeywell Center is north central Indiana's premier arts and entertainment facility with more than 3,000 events and 150,000 visitors annually. Concerts, conferences, charity galas, art exhibits, and educational outreach programs are among the diverse events at the Honeywell Center.
