Honeywell announces dinner & Chamber music series

WABASH, Ind. – The Dinner and Chamber Music Series makes its return to the Honeywell Center in February.  The three-show series, sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank with additional support from Douglas C. Lehman PC and Minda Lehman, features gourmet dinners prepared by Executive Chef Harry Kilmer, followed by a musical performance in the Honeywell Room.

Tuesday, February 15 at 6 p.m. brings a performance by the Ball State Musical Arts Quintet.  This faculty resident woodwind quintet is one of the nation’s oldest and most distinguished chamber ensembles of its kind.  As part of their American Masterpieces initiative, the National Endowment of the Arts awarded the quintet a grant for their focus on performing major works by American composers for wind quintets.

On Tuesday, March 8 at 6 p.m. Peru native and Distinguished Professor of Vocal Music from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Timothy Noble and two singers from his studio will present a program of operatic arias and show tunes.

On Tuesday, April 26 at 6 p.m., the third and final show in the series will feature a performance by pianist Dr. James Giles.  Giles, piano professor at Northwestern University School of Music, will present a program of piano music by several of his graduate students.  Professor Giles will also provide commentary about the music.
