Honeywell accepting applications for volunteers

Posted: Friday, July 30, 2021

From the time guests set foot on Honeywell properties to the time they take their seat for a show, they are met at each turn with smiling faces eager to help, thanks to Honeywell volunteers. With the full return of live indoor programming in 2021, Honeywell Arts & Entertainment is accepting volunteer applications, with special need for theater ushers to assist with shows.

An integral role in the guest experience, volunteers at the Honeywell Center Ford Theater and Eagles Theatre not only enjoy social and recreational benefits, but also a series of perks such as enjoying performances while they assist guests and access to early ticket sales. From award-winning country artists to comedy and Rock & Roll legends, volunteers can enjoy top talent as they greet and assist friendly guests excited to attend live performances.

In addition to theater usher opportunities, Honeywell Arts & Entertainment offers a variety of volunteer activities to choose from. The list includes: theater ushers and door greeters; festival help; tour guides; landscaping assistance; holiday decorators; administrative assistance and more.

Volunteer activities can be enjoyed individually or in the company of friends and family who give back together, creating a fun and rewarding experience for all.

"I like volunteering because of the people," says Robin Unger, Honeywell volunteer. "I have made some great friends over the years and we enjoy spending time together. I also love meeting guests from all over the country, hearing about why they have come and why they chose Honeywell. It is always a wonderful experience!"

The next volunteer usher training session will be held Wednesday, August 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Honeywell Center Nixon Room. Those interested in attending must submit a volunteer application online by Monday, August 2. Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
