Posted: Friday, October 9, 2020

Each year the Youth Services Bureau of Huntington County presents the Steven L. Bailey award to an individual or group who demonstrates a strong compassion for the youth and families of Huntington County. This year’s recipient is Ron Hochstetler.

“Ron has devoted his life to protecting others. He has spent the majority of his career working with abused and neglected children. He thinks outside of the box in an effort to get things done. He is a man true to his faith, believes in helping others and is known for his integrity, honesty and compassion for others,” shared Jan Williams, executive director, Youth Services Bureau of Huntington County.

The Steven L. Bailey award has been presented each year since 1999 to someone who demonstrates a strong compassion for the youth and families of Huntington County. The nominee can be an individual or a group who has made a positive impact in the lives of young people through activities that empower, encourage and support youth. The award is presented in memory of Steven L. Bailey, who passed away in 1998 when he was president of the YSB board.
