Historic Forks to hold Festival of Trees

The Historic Forks of the Wabash will hold the annual Festival of Trees, Saturday, December 7, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, December 8, 1 to 4 p.m. The park is located at 3011 W. Park Drive at the corner of U.S. Hwy.-24 and State Road 9.

Breakfast with Santa, served by the Kiwanis, will begin the day from 7 to 9 a.m. on December 7. The meal includes hotcakes, sausage and juice. Admission is by free will donation. Families are invited to bring their own cameras for pictures with Santa.

Themed and decorated trees and wreaths will be on display at the Forks also with free admission. The public is invited to vote for their favorite tree and wreath for $1 per vote. Drawings will be held to determine the winner of each tree and wreath. Voting results will be available Sunday, December 2 at 4 p.m.

Individuals, organizations and businesses are invited to decorate a tree for $15 or a wreath for $7. To sponsor or decorate a tree or wreath, call the Historic Forks at (260) 356-1903 and leave a message or call Janice Smith at (260) 358-6982.
