Heritage Days parade not a total bust for 2020

Posted: Thursday, July 2, 2020

This year’s Heritage Days parade was not a total bust thanks to the Huntington Theatre Guild Act II. Deanna Albertson of the Theatre Guild asked those interested in participating in a virtual parade to join in on the fun.

The Theatre Guild held a meeting at the Gathering Place, 530 Guilford Street, Huntington, where several local talented individuals performed and had their video filmed. Once all of the videos were made, they were put together and shared with the community on Saturday, June 20, the original date of the parade.

Those that were unable to make the meeting but wanted to be a part of the virtual parade had the opportunity to schedule a time to have their video filmed. Once the videos were complete, they were submitted where the talent was judged by the public.

The winning video won $100 in Chamber Bucks. Second place was awarded $50 and third place, $25. Chamber Bucks can be used as cash at over 60 different locations throughout Huntington County.
